The Austrian Federal Ministry of Defence and the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs are holding the Vienna Military Workshop on the Implementation of the Political Declaration on Strengthening the Protection of Civilians from the Humanitarian Consequences Arising from the Use of Explosive Weapons in Populated Areas which will provide a platform for the military of signatory states, as well as international experts from the UN, the ICRC, various regional organisations and civil society to explore best practice on the implementation of the political declaration.
