On Thursday, the 27th May 2021 HI together with French and German Parliamentarians will host the European Parliamentarian Conference on the future political declaration to protect civilians from the use of explosive weapons in populated areas (EWIPA).

Online
Thursday 27th May 2021
10:00 – 12:30 (CEST)

Following the past three rounds of open consultation in November 2019, in February 2020 in Geneva and March 2021, we are now entering the home straight of the diplomatic process.

Parliamentarians in Europe therefore now have the opportunity to join forces and discuss the main challenges and next steps of the Irish-led diplomatic process. In the run-up to the final round of consultations planned for summer 2021 in Geneva, a crucial window of opportunity is opening to exchange views on the position of European governments and international organizations on the current text of the political declaration.

The invitation is open to European Parliamentarians as well as INEW members.

Please confirm your participation by May 21st, 2021 by registering on this online form
