In Istanbul in May 2016, the World Humanitarian Summit will aim to address some of the most serious challenges that states, international organisations and civil society face in responding to the needs of people caught up in conflict, disasters and other crises. The Secretary-General has identified explosive weapons as a key humanitarian problem. Austria and INEW will be hosting a side event on explosive weapons at the Summit.
