This event will take place on Wednesday 9 September 2015, 12.00-13.30 in Room Tajan. Rob Perkins from Action on Armed Violence (AOAV) will present the latest global data on the immediate humanitarian impact of explosive weapons, from AOAV’s Explosive Weapon Survey. Mark Hiznay from Human Rights Watch (HRW) will speak about HRW’s field investigations and analysis of the use of explosive weapons in populated areas in Yemen in 2015. Kimberley Brown from Save the Children will speak about the impact of explosive weapons on children, and on the international efforts to develop a political response to this pattern of harm. The panel will be chaired by Richard Moyes of Article 36 and INEW.
