A side event to the World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul on “Explosive weapons in populated areas and the need to better protect civilians” will be held on Monday, 23 May, at 15:00-16:30. The location: Hisar (330 – Theater) in the Lüfti Kirdar Convention and Exhibition Center (LKCC).

The side event will hear a number of expert and state perspectives on this subject, including from the Austrian Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the ICRC, UN OHCA, UNWRA and INEW.
